TUESDAY NOON LENTEN SERVICES at PUMC
PRINCETON, NJ.” The Lenten season is the spiritual equivalent of an annual physical exam, says Rev, Jana Purkis-Brash, senior pastor at Princeton United Methodist Church (PUMC). “It’s the time to take stock of our lives, our hearts.”
PUMC offers 30-minute midweek Lenten Services on Tuesdays at noon, followed by a light lunch. Topics include Prayer through Art, (March 22), Prayer through Song (March 29), Prayer through Movement (April 5), Contemplative Prayers, (April 12) and “Hidden With Christ – a Love Feast” (April 19).
Sunday worship will feature “Face to Face” encounters, pairing a chancel-drama monologue, voiced by actor Scott Langdon, and a sermon on such characters as the Devil, the Samaritan Woman, and Lazarus.
Located in downtown Princeton at the corner of Nassau and Vandeventer, PUMC is a diverse congregation whose members come from many surrounding communities, backgrounds and faith histories. Worship services are at 9:30 and 11 a.m., with Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 a.m. and children’s church at 11. For information call 609-924-2613 or visit https://www.princetonumc.org.
