Local Government

On November 8, 2011, voters in the Borough and Township of Princeton approved a ballot measure to consolidate into a single municipal government. The merger to a single Princeton took effect on January 1, 2013. Liz Lempert is the current Mayor of Princeton; her term will expire at the end of 2016. Princeton municipal departments are distributed among three locations - 400 Witherspoon Street, One Monument Drive, and 380 Witherspoon Street.
