  2. MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSES -- New residents must obtain New Jersey driver's licenses and motor vehicle registration within 60 days. The Motor Vehicle Department is on Route 1 at Bakers Basin Road. Call 530-4208 (Bakers Basin Testing Station) or 588-2424 (Trenton headquarters).
  3. DOGS AND CATS -- Both Princeton Borough and Township require dog licenses (renewed every January). Licenses cost $8.20 if the dog is spayed or neutered, $11.20 if not. Call 924-3118 (Borough) or 924-5704 (Township). State law requires that all dogs have rabies vaccinations, by either a private veterinarian or the municipal clinic. The Regional Department of Health urges residents to have their cats vaccinated for rabies. For clinic hours, call the Regional Health Department (497-7608).
