The Old Barracks is a unique historic structure from America's colonial past. Originally known as
the Trenton Barracks, it was constructed in 1758 to house British soldiers fighting in North America
during the French and Indian War (1755-63) and was prominent as a temporary quarters and
military hospital during the American Revolution. The Old Barracks is a registered State and
National Historic Landmark that now houses a museum featuring reproduction-filled squad rooms, a
furnished officer's house, and gallery exhibitions. Living history programs, special events, a summer
camp, and other programs are scheduled throughout the year.
