Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network Releases Its 2012 Fine Art Photo Calendar
The Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network (LMSAN) announces the release of its 2012 fine art photo calendar, "The Art of Lawrenceville.” The cover and monthly pages display high-quality photographs of LMSAN artwork set in unusual but familiar locations.
Founded in 2009 with the assistance of Lawrenceville Main Street, the LMSAN is a cooperative of twenty-five artists who share gallery and classroom space at 2683 Main Street (Route 206) in Lawrenceville’s historic district. The LMSAN is a volunteer-led, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a creative, nurturing community for both local artists and Lawrenceville residents and visitors.
Each calendar page is 8.5” × 11” bound with a center spine so that the calendar opens to a full 11” x 17”. Photos are printed with a four-color process on acid-free, 110-lb. card stock.
The calendar will go on sale at the gallery for $20 beginning on Sept. 20. The gallery is open Wed. and Thurs. from 5 to 8 pm, Sat. from noon to 8 pm, and Sun. from noon to 5 pm. You also can purchase the calendar at Chambers Walk Café (2667 Main St.).
LMS artist Kim Moulder reflects on why her organization chose to create a printed calendar in our electronic age of smart phones and Internet access.
“With a paper wall calendar, we see the days coming and going in a tangible way,” explains Moulder. “As we flip each page, we welcome the new month and anticipate holidays and special occasions around the corner. The year goes by and a new calendar goes on the wall—a clean slate every January.”
“The Art of Lawrenceville” calendar makes an excellent gift for local residents, faraway friends with memories of Lawrenceville, and art lovers everywhere. All proceeds from the sale of the calendar will be used to support the local arts community.
