Health Related Programs

This program empowers survivors of breast cancer by providing mental, emotional and spiritual support. Serving primarily African-American and Latino residents of Trenton, the program provides information and referrals, group and individual counseling, and does outreach in a traditionally under-served community.
2000-2001 OBJECTIVES Expanding staffing Increase education and outreach efforts especially focusing on under-served women 35yrs of age and older and Latina population Include education about breast health and preventive checkups in education and outreach	The program is offered in collaboration with the Susan G. Women foundation and Cancer Care New Jersey

The health and fitness program promotes the health and well-being of community members through stress-reduction, weight management, physical skill training and education services. This program is offered in conjunction with the Fitness and Aquatics center, a complete unisex health club.
