Princeton, NJ – DanceVision, Inc. is proud to present DanceFest 2010! Come dance with us at a carnival of dance events to kick off National Dance Week. This new and exciting fundraiser will have something for everyone.
The DanceFest 2010! program is packed with activities for all ages. Well-known teachers and choreographers Tom McKie and Henri Velandia will offer mini-lessons in Hip Hop, Salsa, and Line Dancing. Enjoy crafts, games, refreshments, story time, and a raffle throughout the day. See a special sneak peek of the original ballet, The Secret Garden, choreographed by Risa Kaplowitz, Co-Artistic Director and Co-Founder of DanceVision. Members of the DanceVision Board of Directors, including Co-Artistic Director and world-renowned ballerina Susan Jaffe, will be in attendance as well as members of the DanceVision Youth Ensemble. This is a celebration of dance that everyone will enjoy.
DanceFest 2010! will be held on April 17 from 2:00-5:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton, 50 Cherry Hill Rd, Princeton, NJ. DanceVision has been providing the community with dance through performance and education for five years. With three residencies in public school systems successfully completed and seven professional-quality performances produced, DanceVision is excited to reach out to invite new community members to participate in its programs. DanceFest 2010! is a community fundraiser event that will ensure DanceVision’s continued success, as well as an opportunity to bring dance to the Central Jersey community through lessons, performances, and much more.
DanceVision, Inc. is a New Jersey non-membership, non-profit corporation. Its mission is to provide professional-quality performances for the community as well as dance educational programming and outreach for school age children (K-12) in Central New Jersey. This is accomplished by providing in-school and after-school programs, and professional development in public school districts and private schools.
