This program is designed to help you get a start on developing your vision and goals for achieving a meaningful, satisfying retirement.
This is an Engaged Retirement program developed by the Princeton Senior Resource Center with funding from the Princeton Area Community Foundation.
Presenter Bio:
Carol King is a retiree living in the Princeton New Jersey area. Her anchoring activity in retirement is co-director of the Engaged Retirement program offered by the Princeton Senior Resource Center. This program is designed to help boomer generation employees plan for a rewarding retirement beyond financial planning. Carol also keeps the books and the website for PSRC.
Previously Carol was a college professor (tourism & hospitality management, organizational behavior, management and leadership), as well as a church financial administrator, hospitality industry consultant, food service manager and occasional technical writer. She has both an MBA and a PhD from New York University
Her volunteer activities include Ten Thousand Villages , a nonprofit fair trade store, where she gets her weekly happiness fix selling handicrafts from third-world countries. She is also treasurer of a local opera group, occasional coach of seniors in computer classes, and helps out in the box office and costume shop for a local music festival. She is a member of the Advisory Commission on Aging of Mercer County Community College.
Carol is a Certified Retirement Coach.
