Dress for Success Mercer County Receives $15,000 Grant from the Princeton Area Community Foundation

Lawrenceville, NJ. (March 5, 2013) Dress for Success Mercer County was awarded a $15,000 grant from the Princeton Area Community Foundation. Executive Director Lorrie Klaric said the funds would be used for building capacity as they continue to expand their job readiness programs and services to assist more women in greater Mercer County on their employment journey. “We appreciate the Princeton Area Community Foundation supporting our mission of promoting the economic independence of women in need by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and life. By creating a full-time presence in the community and by offering our clients the critical tools to move from dependency to self-sufficiency, we can help greater Mercer County’s most vulnerable women succeed in today’s competitive job market.”

 

Since 2007, Dress for Success Mercer County has helped 2000 women in 6 counties achieve confidence and success in the workplace. They provide free services to job ready clients by referral. Services include: interview attire, resume writing, interview coaching, career counseling, power networking, job retention and career advancement skills.  Dress for Success Mercer County is a volunteer run organization with opportunities for the community to participate.
