Winter Theater Classes Still Available for Children at the Arts Council of Princeton

Greetings Everyone … and best holiday wishes!
it is not too late to register for our winter theater classes for children this winter – classes begin monday 1/24!

these new classes promise to be a ton of fun for all involved:

MAMA & ME: FABLES AND FAIRYTALES
This class is for parent or caregiver and a child 3-4 years of age. Adult and child will visit the characters, themes, and places of well-known fairytales, and then bring them to life in the classroom through guided exercises. Using dramatic play, music, movement, and visual art, each week will introduce a story with new themes to inspire all participants!
Ages: 3-4
Mondays, 1:30 – 2:30 pm NEW TIME!
Jan 24 - Mar 21 (8 weeks); No class Feb 21
$160 Non-Member / $140 Member

CREATING A CHARACTER
Students will use their bodies, voices, and imaginations to develop characters for the stage. Drawing inspiration from improvisation, environment work, movement, masks, and songs, students will explore a range of characters that they will incorporate into group scenes and solo performances among their peers. Let the fun begin!
Ages: 5-7 FILLING UP QUICKLY!
Mondays, 3:30 -4:30 pm
Jan 24 - Mar 21 (8 weeks); No class Feb 21
$160 Non-Member / $140 Member

METHOD AND MUSIC
This class will build on the fundamentals of acting and encourage further development through scene work and song. Students will develop their physical and vocal techniques as they delve into the fun of playmaking! They will tackle the deceptively simple task of being natural and relaxed in performance, as well as expand their range of characters. This class is a perfect introduction for the beginner and will address the needs of more experienced participants!
Ages: 8-10
Mondays, 4:45 -6 pm
Jan 24 - Mar 21 (8 weeks); No class Feb 21
$200 Non-Member / $175 Member


 
While the office is “technically” closed from Thursday 12/23 (after 3pm) until Monday 1/03, we will continue to take
ONLINE REGISTRATIONS throughout that period.
