Great Family Fun Sidewalk Event with the Brainy Kids May 22, 2010
On May 22nd, 2010, Storming Robots will be at the Dean of Chess on the Sidewalk Fun Event Day being held at the Dean of Chess. Location: 3150 Rt. 22 West Branchburg. (landmark: ShopRite. Right inside the Shopping Center )
Time: The sidewalk event for the complex starts around 10am.
What to See: Robots & Circuitry: Storming Robots will demonstrate some automated robots, as well as simple circuitry projects which will be done as part of the summer circuitry workshop. If you have children, from Grade 2 to 8, who are technology enthusiasts, he/she will be given the opportunity to do a few simple motion navigation routines to command the robot to do interesting movement. It will be at the event from 11am to 3pm.
Chess Master: Dean of Chess will also show you the fun of chess, chess educational video game, and variety ways to pursue serious challenge in increasing chess rating. Their Chess program facilitates children from K & up. There will be sidewalk sale with clearance items from the stores at the shopping plaza, free food, basket giveaways from all stores, pony rides, stilt walkers, face painting, balloon artists, pet adoptions, our giant chess set, plasma car racing, Elmo, Dora and Sparkee mascots. Who is Dean of Chess? Dean of Chess is led by a New Jersey Chess Teacher of the Year, and International Master Dean Ippolito. He has been one of the foremost and recognizable chess players in the United States for over a decade. At the age of 11, he was featured in Sports Illustrated and Boys Life after winning several National Titles. Both articles labeled him as “One of the Nation’s Top Rising Chess Stars”. Dean has been a 10 times All-America team Member and has 11 National Championships to his name. Who is Storming Robots Storming Robots provide challenging year-round robotics education for Grade 2 to 12. Besides school year programs, Storming Robots also provides summer robotics camp. Storming Robots robotics teams have won the USA RobocupJunior Competition in both 2009 and 2010, along with many years of winning experiences in other robotics competitions.
