Princeton Day School Class of 2011 Honors and Distinctions

 

Princeton—In possibly the most competitive admissions season in a decade, Princeton Day School’s senior class distinguished itself in the admissions process. The 97 members of the Class of 2011 achieved at the highest levels in academics, athletics, and the arts, submitting a total of 939 applications to 204 of the most selective colleges across the US and abroad. Princeton Day School is pleased to announce that this year’s seniors have been admitted to some of the most competitive liberal arts, engineering, architecture, music, visual arts, dance, and theater programs in the country.

 

Colleges and universities offering admission to members of the senior class include: Bates (5), Boston College (3), Bowdoin (3), Brown (3), Carnegie Mellon (4), Colby (3), Colgate (4), Columbia (5), Cornell (4), Dartmouth (4), Dickinson (10), Emory (3), Franklin and Marshall (8), George Washington (6), Georgetown (6), Johns Hopkins (4), Lafayette (7), the University of Michigan (5), Middlebury (4), New York University (5), the University of Notre Dame (3), Oberlin (5), the University of Pennsylvania (3), Princeton (6), Richmond (6), Rutgers (12), Trinity (5), Tufts (6), Tulane (4), the University of Vermont (13), the University of Virginia (3), Washington University in St. Louis (4), Wesleyan (5), and the College of William and Mary (3).

Also noteworthy is that twenty percent of the class received a binding Early Decision acceptance, and a significant portion of the class received a merit scholarship to at least one college to which they applied. In addition, at least 17 members of the senior class have been recruited to play for their respective college teams.

  

The following sixteen students graduated from Princeton Day School with cum laude honors: Maya Anjur-Dietrich, Jane Coates, Alexandra DeCandia, Kerry Dillon, Eric Falcon, Adam Fisch, Kevin Francfort, Alison Frieder, Katherine Gibson, Alexander Ioffreda, Jacob Kaufman, Kaleigh McLaughlin, Christopher Moyer, Allison Reilly, Rebecca Sokol, and Rebecca Wong.
