Waldorf School of Princeton Invites Families to a Morning in the Garden
Waldorf School of Princeton, located at 1062 Cherry Hill Road in Princeton, invites parents and their children to a “Morning in the School Garden” on July 14 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Families may tour the school and its garden, parents are invited to cut and take home fresh flowers, children can make clay butterfly pots, and all are welcome to enjoy tea made from the school garden’s herbs. “The organic, edible garden at Waldorf School of Princeton has been an important part of the school since we opened our doors 27 years ago. At this time of year, classes are out but our garden still blooms. We are excited to share the bounty of the garden with families in the Princeton community. Our gardening teacher, Mary Capoferri, will lead the garden tour and she will be happy to answer questions for those who are interested in starting their own gardens”, said Marla Hanan, Advancement Associate at the Waldorf School of Princeton. The event is free. For more information or to register, people may contact Marla Hanan at events@princetonwaldorf.org, or visit the school’s website, www.princetonwaldorf.org.
