Mid-Winter Parenting Series at Timberlane Middle School

Attention Parents of 5th Graders: The Timberlane PTO will present “Talking About Sexuality Issues and the Young Adolescent” as the final workshop in their Mid-Winter Parenting Education Series. This HiTops-facilitated workshop takes place Tuesday, March 16, in the 8th-Grade House Center from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Children between the ages of 11 and 13 are experiencing a wide range of physical and emotional changes and challenges. Some mature early, some late. Some are very talkative, others communicate by grunting. Many kids are interested in having a boyfriend or girlfriend and others are not at all ready. This workshop explores the developmental issues common to middle-school-aged children and helps parents and guardians understand some of the perplexing aspects of raising a “tween." This workshop is open to all HVRSD parents.
