iD tech Camps Posts Job Opportunities for Summer 2010

The following are summer job opportunities offered by iDTech Camps.  

Camp Instructor:

Spice up your resume with hands-on teaching experience!  This summer, teach at a prestigious university where students ages 7 to 17 learn Programming, Robotics, Digital photography, Graphic Arts, 2D and 3D Video Game Creation, Digital Video Editing, Web Design & Flash® Animation, 3D Character Modeling with Maya® and more!  At iD Tech Camps, our counselors inspire young minds to exercise their creativity while embracing technology as an invaluable tool for life. Our weeklong camps feature dedicated staff, small class sizes, cutting edge technology and traditional camp activities.  Camp staff will teach using the latest software and hardware from our esteemed companies such as Apple, Autodesk, Microsoft, Adobe, Sony, Wacom and others.
 
Our camps are located at 60 universities in 25 states and Canada. This includes Princeton, Harvard, Stanford, Brown, UCLA, MIT, Northwestern, Columbia and the University of British Columbia.  The university atmosphere ensures a well-rounded camp experience.  In addition to teaching technology, iD staff members actively participate in other traditional camp activities, including Ultimate Frisbee, Capture the Flag, Video Gaming Tournaments as well as Guitar Hero® 5, DJ Hero™ or Band Hero™.

Camp Directors:

iD Tech Camps is seeking Camp Directors with genuine enthusiasm to teach and work with kids. No tech experience necessary, just a love of working with kids. Candidates must have an energetic, fun-loving personality and a flexible summer schedule.  Our summer staff members are responsible for fostering a FUN and SAFE environment while helping students learn new technology and think creatively. In addition to creating an optimal learning environment, staff members are in charge of continuously supervising students and the planning of and participation in camp activities. It's the perfect summer job!

Film Instructors:

The iD Visual Arts Academy is a premier summer program focusing on filmmaking, digital photography and web design for teens. We are currently looking for film instructors who will lead students through DV camera operation, sound design, editing, DVD authoring as well as the fundamentals of film theory. Staff will be also be conducting hands-on teaching with the following software: Apple® Final Cut Studio® 2 (with Final Cut Pro®), Adobe® After Effects® CS4, Final Draft® AV, Adobe After Effects CS4, Sonicfire® Pro, Digieffects™ Delirium plug-in collection, Red Giant Software™ plug-ins: Primatte Keyer™ Pro, Magic Bullet™ Looks and Trapcode Particular. If you love filmmaking, have professional or film school experience, an impressive portfolio of you work, and the desire to give teens the skills they need for future advancement in the movie industry, we want YOU on the iD team! Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have worked as a professional in the video production field. Instructor will have advanced knowledge of Final Cut Pro and After Effects. A portfolio that includes publicly screened film work and an interest in the documentary genre is highly desirable.  In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the following:

Video Gaming Instructor:

The iD Gaming Academy is a premier summer program specializing in video game development camps for teens. These include Maya® Camps, Gaming Camps, Level Design Camps and Game Programming Camps. Utilizing high-end production software such as Autodesk® Maya® Unlimited, Adobe® Photoshop® CS4, cutting-edge gaming engines including Unreal® Engine 3 an industry-standard programming and authoring tools including Microsoft® XNA™, instructors will immerse students in the exciting world of video game development. If you love the world of gaming, are passionate about having a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of teens, and have impressive gaming credentials, we want YOU on the iD team! Make a difference with the iD Gaming Academy this summer!  Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have expertise in gaming and game development. A portfolio that demonstrates technical skill with Autodesk Maya, or programming skill with C++ is required (depending on course interest). An interest in gaming trends and networking ability is a plus. Professional or published game title experience is highly desirable. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the following:
