DOT Repaving of Rt 206 - Nights Starting 11/15

Rt. 206 Repaving Work Starts Tonight, Expected to Take 2 Weeks

The NJ Dept. of Transportation has informed Montgomery Township that much-needed Rt. 206 re-surfacing work is about to occur from approximately Sunset Road to the southern end of town.

According to DOT representatives, resurfacing work (milling and overlay) is scheduled to begin this evening, Tuesday November 15th, weather permitting. This all-night work, from approximately 7:30 pm to 6:00 am, should last approximately two weeks.  There will be alternating lanes of traffic and additional police support. Expect possible delays during these hours.

The DOT's goal for this project is to resurface the roadway, full width, for the given limits, upgrade drainage facilities, and provide new striping and handicap ramp delineation where needed.

The resurfacing project will run from Hillside Avenue (in Princeton just past Cherry Valley Rd.) north just past the northern end of Bridgepoint Rd. (by Montgomery Gardens, just south of Sunset Rd.).
