ARTISTS’ CHOICE GOES TO HOWELL FARM THIS MAY
The Artists’ Choice group will be meeting Tuesdays (except 5/29/12) this May from 1 to for outdoor painting at the scenic Howell Living History Farm. The group is open to all artists and is facilitated by local artists, Bob Barish and Sue Ewart. Participants bring their own materials and projects. Artists may want to bring a pull-cart to transport their supplies on the farm. The driving address for Howell Living History Farm is 70 Woodens Lane, Lambertville. WALK IN PENNINGTON BOROUGH
Join other active older adults for a walk around Pennington Borough on Tuesday, May 15th at 10am. Meet in the back parking lot of the Hopewell Valley Senior Center at 395 Reading St. in Pennington. Please park away from the building, if possible. All are welcome. There will be a slower and moderate paced group. No registration required. FEELING EMOTIONALLY HEALTHY IN THE GOLDEN YEARS
The aging process creates many changes and challenges. Marsha Maloney, MSW, Senior Support Specialist at GTBC will discuss various choices seniors have to maintain a significant level of psychological and emotional stability on Wednesday, May 16 from 10:30-11:30am at the Hopewell Valley Senior Center. TRIVIA NIGHT AT HOPEWELL VALLEY CENTRAL HIGH
Hopewell Valley Central High School, the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation, and Hopewell Valley Community Bank are planning a fun activity to be shared by CHS staff and students, HoVal senior citizens, and other community members. Teams are comprised of 1-3 adults and up to 7 high schools students with a maximum of 8 people per team. The registration fee is $3 for senior citizens. Tops teams earn prize money which goes towards a school club, sport’s team, or organization of the team’s choice.
Trivia Night will take place on Monday, May 21 at 7pm at the high school cafeteria, 259 Pennington-Titusville Road. If you would like to join a team, please contact Hopewell Valley Senior Services at 737-0605, ext. 692 or awaugh@hopewelltwp.org. You will be matched up with a team. If you would like to form your own team with Hopewell Valley Central High School Students (grandchildren, neighbors, etc.), please sign-up directly with the students’ team.
