The Master Gardeners of Mercer Count Hosts “The Buzz on Mason Bees”

The Master Gardeners of Mercer County will host a program, “The Buzz on Mason Bees” on Tuesday, February 23 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The program will be held at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 930 Spruce Street,Lawrence, adjacent to the Trenton Farmers Market.  Ample parking is available.

Mason bees, the workhorses of the garden, are pollinators, solitary, hard-working and non-aggressive.  Master Gardener and Master Beekeeper Melissa Palmer of HopewellTownship will share first-hand insight into the fascinating activities of one of the most important insects in our garden, the solitary mason bee.  Learn how to bring them into your garden for improved early pollination of your plants.  To benefit the Master Gardeners of Mercer County educational programs, a donation of $3.00 is suggested.  To pre-register for the program, call (609) 989-6830.
