Read & Pick Program: Pumpkins- Tues, October 5th - 2 sessions - 9:30 am & 11 am

Read & Pick is an innovative program that combines picking with your young child and listening to a story highlighting the crop. Parents and young children (ages preschool to 8 years) are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about pumpkins. We will be reading two books about pumpkins. Then everyone will pick his or her own decorative pumpkins. The cost is $7.00 per child and includes the pumpkin. Pre-registration is requested.

School Tours at Terhune Orchards: Linking Education with Agriculture - September & October

Educational programs offered at Terhune Orchards give children of all ages the opportunity to experience life on a farm – up close and personal – lead by our knowledgeable Guides. Learn how a real family farm operates, how apples and vegetables grow, and the importance of farming and food production. Visit the farm animals and enjoy a snack of cider an apples. The one hour program includes a snack, additional pumpkin and apple picking is available. Pre-registration and a minimum of 10 children are required. Come to Terhune Orchards for a day of family fun on the farm! What better way to celebrate fall than with Pick-Your-Own Gourds and Pumpkins! Enjoy pony rides, wagon rides, paint your pumpkin, visit the Farmers Hidden Helpers Adventure Barn, Corn Stalk Maze and our barnyard of farm animals. Don’t worry about lunch, there’s lots of food available – soup, chili, hot dogs, pies, apple cider donuts, apple cider, and more! Terhune Orchards features live music played by some of our best local talent, (between noon and 4pm).
