Nursery School at YWCA Princeton Hosts Open Houses in May
Parents and preschool children are invited to visit one of three Open Houses scheduled by the Nursery School at YWCA Princeton this month. The Open Houses will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 16, and 23 from 10:00 am – noon. Advanced registration is not required.
Parents and their children can tour the classrooms, meet the teachers, and learn about the school and its special offerings. “Choosing the right pre-school for your child is a big decision. We are inviting families to come in and visit us,” states Michelle Trudeau, Director of the Nursery School. “They are invited to experience first-hand our educational program, our dedicated arts-and-crafts room, multiple playgrounds, on-site restaurant, and facilities which include a recently expanded playground, and our larger Kaboom! playground”.
Registrations are now being accepted for its summer program and the fall 2012-13 school year. Classes are available five days a week, or part-time, enabling parents to choose days that best fit their schedules with a two-day minimum depending upon spaces available.
The school accepts children 2½-6 years of age. While drawing primarily from the Princeton, Montgomery, Skillman, Plainsboro, Lawrence, and West Windsor areas, all are welcome. The Nursery School is located inside the YWCA’s main building at 59 Paul Robeson Place (at the corner of Route 206).
For decades, the Nursery School at Princeton has been preparing young children for kindergarten by providing preschool education in a safe and caring environment. Energetic and experienced staff work with the children to help them learn and develop their skills. Each child receives individual attention, and instruction is tailored to each child’s ability. Teachers and aids are CPR and First Aid certified. The school also provides a bilingual class option in addition to spacious areas for study, group and play. Other features include additional activity rooms, outside playgrounds, guest presentations, and access to special events hosted by the YWCA.
