D&R Greenway Land Trust and Princeton Photography Club invite high school photographers to create composite images, altering their nature photographs through the wonders of computer technology, for DREAMSCAPES, the first juried high school photography exhibition to be held at D&R Greenway.  Students are urged to create their visions of the future of nature, especially in New Jersey.

Selected artists will be announced, and monetary awards totaling $500, will be presented at Princeton Photography Club’s May 11 meeting at D&R Greenway, at 7:30 p.m. One Preservation Place, Princeton 08540; 609-924-4646]

There is an April 20 deadline.  Jurors will be Princeton Photography Club’s Martha Weintraub and Carl Geisler.  Submission guidelines have been sent to regional high schools, and are available at www.drgreenway.org.

Submit up to three jpeg images to cedelmann@drgreenway.org, 1200 pixels on longest side, at 72 ppi output.
From D&R Greenway web-site:

“D&R Greenway Land Trust preserves open space on which to play and create. Please photograph a natural landscape and manipulate it digitally into your vision of the future. You can revert a cityscape into a forest, a meadow into a vibrant garden, show people and wildlife interacting in the landscape, or go anywhere your imagination takes you. Your manipulations can be subtle or dramatic as long as your work is nature-themed.”

“Dreamscapes” coordinates with D&R Greenway’s current exhibition, “Born of Wonder: Childhood and Nature.”

Winning Dreamscapes will be shown in D&R Greenway’s Olivia Rainbow Student Gallery, during business hours of business days, from June 3 through July 15.   Call 609-924-4646 to be sure galleries are not in use during proposed time of visit.

Winning artists will be announced, and monetary awards totaling $500, will be presented to winners at the Princeton Photography Club’s May 11 meeting at D&R Greenway.  The public is welcome at this 7:30 p.m. event.  Register at 609-924-4646. One Preservation Place, off Rosedale Road, Princeton 08540.
