Celebrate National Chemistry Week at Princeton University October 22, 2010
“Behind the Scenes with Chemistry!”
This year's theme is “Behind the Scenes with Chemistry!" A crime has just occurred and the Princeton ACS Section has been asked to solve it. We need willing investigators to use chemistry to locate the perpetrator!
What: National Chemistry Week Activities Night
Where: Princeton University, 20 Washington Rd (old Frick Laboratory)
When: Friday, October 22, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
Who: Recommended for ages 5 and up. (Under 13 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)
About the event: It will be held at Princeton University, 20 Washington Rd (formerly known as Frick Laboratory; corner of Washington Rd and William St). Following a demonstration of some “special effects” used in TV shows and movies, visitors will have a chance to do some hand-on chemistry activities that give clues to help solve a “crime”. The event is free and open to the public, however registration is required. Contact Allen Jones at PACS_NCW@yahoo.com and include your name, contact information, number of adults in your party, and the number and ages of guests 17 and under. Deadline for registration is October 19.
Please note: We will be photographing this event; if you do not want your child’s picture to appear in publications of the event please let us know when you sign in.
