PDS Presents ‘A Chorus Line’ Feb 18-21
Princeton Day School presents “A Chorus Line,” the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning story of 17 dancers reaching for their own Broadway spotlight, in performances Feb. 18 - Feb. 21 in McAneny Theater on campus. Conceived and originally directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett, the show features iconic song-and-dance numbers with contemporary characters and a stark set design. With book by James Kirkwood, Jr. and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban, the story unfolds as dancers share their stories while auditioning for the chance of a lifetime. “The show depends on the energy and talent of the performers; what they bring to the stage rather than what they find there,” said Director Stan Cahill, PDS Theater Artist-in-Residence. The show is choreographed by PDS Artist-in-Residence Ann Robideaux with set design by Jeffrey Van Velsor, PDS Technical Director. The ensemble cast features the talents of Upper School students in grades 9 through 12. For show times and tickets, visit https://www.pds.org/boxoffice
