PDS Middle School Goes Through the Looking Glass
Princeton Day School students in grades five through eight will present "aLiCe in WonDErlaNd,” an original script based on the Lewis Carroll classic story of a rabbit running late, croquet games, tea parties and an infamous grinning cat at 7:30 p.m. Thursday Dec. 10 in McAneny Theater on the PDS campus. Pictured, from left, seventh-graders Katherine Venturo-Conerly as Alice and Jay Mack as Caterpillar. "aLiCe" marks the first time Middle School has premiered an original script written by Middle School Drama Teacher Deb Sugarman. Ms. Sugarman said she tackled the task over the summer after finding existing versions “so bland.” The show, including about 70 Middle School students, features choreography by PDS Artist-in-Residence for Dance Ann Robideaux and magical multi-level, checkered sets created by Theater Technical Director Jeff Van Velsor.
