Special Education PTO Meeting

On Thursday, October 1, 2009, the Special Education PTO will meet beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the library of the John Witherspoon Middle School.   The evening is planned as an opportunity to meet fellow parents, staff and child study teams from across the District.  Our featured speaker will be Dr. Agnes Golding, Director of Student Services.
The Special Education PTO seeks to enhance the education of all students district-wide through the collaborative efforts of parents, staff, child study teams and administration.  All families with classified students are automatically members of this dues-free organization.  Through the year we run a modest series of programs covering broad topics of general interest to our members.  We have representation on each school PTO and the PTO Council and we attend the monthly meetings of the Board of Education.  We serve as an informal and discreet network for parents seeking information, recognizing and respecting privacy and individual needs.
Please try to attend this meeting.
