HVC OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
The Hopewell Valley Chorus has a long tradition of supporting local community activities through donations of both time and financial support. A few of these activities are described below.
HVC Scholarship
At our spring concert, usually in May, HVC awards its annual $1,000 scholarship to a musically-talented graduating senior.
At left, Michael Ryan receives the 2011 scholarship from scholarship chair Valerie Nelson.
Spring into Song
"Spring into Song" is a free concert with performances by vocal groups based in--or with close ties to--the Hopewell Valley. The concert has been annually hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Washington Crossing.
Trenton Children's Chorus
Individual chorus members volunteer weekly to provide the young members of this chorus with after-school homework help. The chorus has returned the favor by participating in many of our concerts.

Outreach Concerts
The Hopewell Valley Chorus also volunteers to entertain the residents of local assisted living and retirement groups, most recently the Stony Brook Assisted Living Facility.
