The YWCA Princeton has received a $5,000 grant from NRG Energy in support of its 29th Annual “Tribute to Women” awards dinner scheduled for Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Princeton.
The event honors a select group of remarkable women from the greater Princeton area. They have made extraordinary contributions in their professions and the community serving in a variety of capacities: executive, entrepreneurial, professional, educational, and elected roles. This must-attend event has become one of the most important opportunities to recognize powerful, accomplished women in Mercer County. The business community and public are invited to celebrate these outstanding women. Proceeds from the evening enable the YWCA Princeton to offer high-quality programs and services to all in the community.
NRG, a Fortune 500 energy generation and electricity retail company headquartered in Princeton, exhibits its commitment to social responsibility through sustainable practices that support local communities and the workforce. NRG Global Giving identifies non-profit organizations and supports programs and initiatives that focus on community and economic development—including schools, community infrastructure and public resources. Through the NRG Global Giving program, NRG has donated more than $15 million in financial grants since 2004.
