CONTACT of Mercer County

CONTACT's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is currently recruiting Friendly Visitors to engage with and visit homebound senior or disabled individuals in the northern Mercer County area. RSVP, funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service, recruits and deploys mature adults as volunteers in a variety of community and social service settings. A member of Partners in Caring, a collaboration of agencies serving northern Mercer County, RSVP is seeking volunteers to support this effort through building relationships with individuals whose contact with or travel in the world outside their home is restricted. These relationships will strengthen these persons' membership and participation in their community and lead to enhanced ability to remain independent. No medical service or personal care is involved. 883-2880
