Soccer Centers, in collaboration with Somerset County Park Commission
Therapeutic Recreation department, and inspired by Allison Pine from Baskin Ridge
introduces GOal Setters - a specialized soccer/sport training program designed for children with special needs/autism. The program is created to invite players to take part in a team and to work directly with professional trainers and coaches on the field. The players will develop their ability to play soccer and other sports while having fun and learning to play in a team. As a memory of the program, all GOal Setters players will receive a Goal Setters t- shirt. The class will be held on Wednesdays from 3.30pm-4.30pm, starting April 6th and will go on for 8 weeks. Tuscan Hills owners Suzanne and Greg Evans are pleased to honor the doctors and nurses in the Level II Special Care Nursery at University Medical Center at
Princeton who cared for their twin daughters following their birth in April 2003. This five-week event will commemorate the five weeks that the infants were

Concert to Benefit the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund
Members of the local music community have joined to perform in a concert for the benefit of those in Japan impacted by the recent earthquake and tsunami. The benefit concert will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, April 16 in the sanctuary of Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street in downtown Princeton across from Palmer Square. The performers include Ena Bronstein Barton, piano; Susan Gaylord, mezzo-soprano; Shoko Iwashita, soprano; Alexis Kende, violin; Crista Kende, viola; Phyllis Lehrer, piano; and Noriko Schneiderman, piano. The program will include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Bruch, Corigliano, Piazzolla, Schubert, and Takemitsu.
A free-will offering will be taken and 100% of any funds collected will be dedicated to the Japan Relief Fund of the Princeton Japanese Association. Pennington Quality Market Sponsoring 2 Big Events In the Fight Against Cancer

4/16 - “Kids Bopping for Kids,” hosted by the Princeton Junior School and Community Connection of Princeton HealthCare (formerly the Auxiliary), will be held at the Princeton Junior School campus at 90 Fackler Road, Lawrenceville, N.J., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Children in Kindergarten through grade 5 are welcome to participate in the event, which will include carnival games, sporting activities, snacks, drinks and entertainment. 4/17 - The Trenton Meeting of Friends (Quakers) will present the acclaimed documentary NOT IN OUR TOWN at 12:30pm. NOT IN OUR TOWN is the inspiring ½ hour documentary film about the residents of a Montana town who stood together to say NO to a growing threat of hate crimes and racial intolerance. The community made an unmistakable declaration; since then, no serious acts of hate violence have been reported in Billings, Montana. Popcorn and soda will be served. 4/20 - Mercer Council on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction (MCADA) is hosting a Legislative Brunch and Substance Abuse Workshop from 9:30am-2pm at Erini Restaurant in Ewing, NJ. Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini will discuss the NJ Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights after registration and breakfast. The event will also feature a workshop, “Higher Learning? Drugs On College Campus” and will include a panel discussion on drug abuse on college campuses. The panelists are representatives from colleges in Mercer County. 4/20 - Gardens of the Arts and Crafts Movement, Morven Museum and Garden, 55 Stockton Street, Princeton, featuring landscape historian Judith Tankard at 11:00 am in the Garden Room at Morven. The Princeton University Glee Club's annual concert in memory of its former director Walter L. NAMI Mercer (National Alliance on Mental Illness) invites you to participate in the fourth NAMI Walk to combat stigma and raise money to support NAMI’s free education and support programs for families affected by mental illness. This year’s theme is “Changing Minds….one step at a time.”

Join thousands of concerns citizens in more than 80 communities around the nation who will walk this year to raise awareness and improve lives. The walk will be held at Rider University and is free of charge. Walkers who raise $100 or more are given a free NAMI Walks T-shirt.

After warming up with Joan Brame and her Empower Fitness Team, walkers will set out on the 5K walk on the university’s cross-country course in a natural, wooded setting. After the walk, participants will gather for a complementary picnic lunch, entertainment by local bands and games on the field.

Last year’s walk gathered over 900 walkers from all over New Jersey. This year we anticipate over 1,000 people.
