Debbie Walsh directs the Rutgers University Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP), an internationally recognized research, education and public service center dedicated to increasing women’s participation in American politics and government. She has led the Center's extensive work with women public officials and oversees its research on the impact of women officeholders on public policies and government. Under Walsh’s leadership, CAWP has expanded its NEW Leadership™ program for college women to 17 states across the nation and launched the successful Ready to Run™ campaign training program for women.
