| The purpose of this web page is to
encourage students to explore art from different cultures and time periods via the World
Wide Web. All sites have been checked and reviewed by the art instructor, Judith
Decker, to determine their suitability for student use. At the time the
links were
added to this site, all material was determined valuable for students' knowledge and
understanding of the visual arts and world cultures. Information on Web Pages can change at any time.
If you or your child find any images or material you find objectionable, please
inform us immediately and the link will be removed. Do keep in mind that the human
form is a common subject in painting and sculpture. Many of the sites may show
images of fine art with a mature theme. If you are unsure how your child will
react to these images, it is suggested that you view the sites with your child. All
images are from renowned fine art museums, galleries and important
contemporary artists.
We are not to be
held
responsible for any material that has been added to sites that are linked to from this web
page. Our only responsibility shall be to remove the link, once we have been
informed.

considered. Artists may continue to send me their sites. I
only add sites that allow art teachers "Fair Use" to show images
to their students. Teachers do not have funds to buy the right to show
your images. *Notice
to all copyright holders:
I am aware that in many instances I have used words from your site to
describe content on the site so educators know what to expect
when they get to your site - or to decide it the site will appeal to them.
I am also aware now, that copyright owners are sending cease and desist
letters for as little as a series of words being copied from a site. I
believe my use of copyrighted text falls under Fair Use. If anyone finds
material on this site that they feel is an infringement on their
copyrighted material, please email me (Judy Decker)
and I will immediately remove the material and link that is provided. I
realize this is not a legal defense for me, but I do believe I am acting
in good faith to respect your rights. Thank you for your permission to use
the selected words I have chosen to describe your site. LINKING
POLICY* Webmasters, I
understand it is a courtesy to ask permission to add your link to this site.
I respect your right not be linked as I understand how this may increase
bandwidth cost for your site - but also respect your time and mine and
know you do not have time to answer my email request. If you find your link
anywhere on this site and wish it to be removed, email
me. You do not need permission to link to this site, however, I would
prefer that your site be educational in nature and be somewhat art related
or related to world cultures. I
only provide links to artists who will allow "Fair Use" of their
images as this is an educational web site. If you do not want art teachers
to show images of your work via PowerPoint to students, I will remove your
link. Let's
all hope that Webmasters may continue to add links that are of educational
value to their viewers. The Internet is a valuable tool and has the
power to promote life-long learning. *NOTE:
I do not take link requests for sites that are strictly commercial in
nature.

Decker, Webmaster
