Graphic Design: Bumper sticker Theme: Peace - Words for America - Feelings

Time: one class period

Materials: large white tablet, black markers, Watercolor Markers, Pencils, Rulers, Erasers, 4" (10 cm) strip of Tag Board - assorted lengths 12" - 18" - 24" (30.5 - 46 - 61 cm)

1. Brainstorm on words for "American" -  What America stands for. Record words on large paper.
2. Select word or words for your bumper sticker - What do you want to say about America?
3. Draw letters - use a font that will be easy to read - block letters.
4. Outline with black permanent markers
5. Color with watercolor markers
6. Share with other students if time remaining.
