Garden State African Violet Club |

Our HistoryThe Garden State African Violet Club was founded in Trenton, New Jersey on November 19, 1948. It has been affiliated with the African Violet Society of America since January 9, 1952, and with the Tristate African Violet Council since 1962. The goal of the GSAVC is to promote the enjoyment and cultivation of African Violets. Our club motto is “Friendship Through Violets.” Membership & MeetingsThe GSAVC welcomes anyone interested in growing and enjoying African Violets to join our club. Our members hail from all over the central New Jersey area. We meet ten times per year from September to June. Our focal event is our Annual Show and Sale held the first weekend in May. Membership dues are $10 per year. All members receive a “project plant” at the first meeting. Non-members are invited to attend our meetings and presentations, as well as to enter our annual show once as a non-member. Monthly meetings are at 7:30 PM on the first Thursday of the month (usually) and are held at the Washington Township Public Library located at 42 Robbinsville-Allentown Road (corner of Rte. 130 N. and Rte. 526 East), Robbinsville, New Jersey. Please refer to our Calendar for more information on meeting dates and presentation topics. Please refer to Visit Us for directions to our meeting place.
Speakers We visit schools, clubs, Senior Centers, and any other organization interested in learning more about African Violets. Please contact us for details.
