Gift of Sharing Gifting

Background :    Giving the young student the opportunity to share the joy of making and giving a gift from the heart is an important event of the Christmas season.

Objective:  Young student and family shall enjoy an activity in which they choose and plan together a gift for someone the child wants to gift.

Materials Needed:  Dependent on choice of gift or gifts (see below) Choice:   Transform egg carton into jewelry box; Make a beautiful keepsake from a hand imprinted in plaster of paris; or wreath made from paper plate and tissue.

Process:   A Jewelry Box made from an egg carton.  Child paints the carton and adds such decorations, glitter, whatsoever is desired. Hand imprint:  The child can mix up the water and plaster and pour it in an appropriate flat container awaiting the imprinting process.  After drying, decorate and add hanger as desired. Wreath:  Cut rim from paper plate.  Young student crushes up small pieces of tissue paper and glues to the rim.  Add dots of red hole punched paper, also glitter, as desired.

Skills/Learning Styles/Intelligences: Fine motor control; kinesthetic, Social/ emotional.

Extended Learning:   Young student may, according to ability, print his name and that of the recipient on the gift. Young student may want opportunity to make a number of gifts. During the process, talk about the colors used, the methods used, using and encouraging descriptive language. Talk about gifts and giving in general; special gifts you have received in particular. Think of ways we can give that don’t involve material gifts. Think of ways we can continue giving throughout the year.

Regalo de compartir

Antecedentes: Dar al estudiante la oportunidad de compartir la alegría de hacer y de dar un regalo desde el corazón, este es un acontecimiento importante en estas fiestas de  Navidad.

Objetivo:   El estudiante y la familia disfrutarán de una actividad en la cual elijan y planeen juntos un regalo para alguien que el niño desee darle.

Materiales que necesita: Dependiendo de la opción del regalo o de los regalos (véase abajo) Opción: Transforme la caja de cartón de  huevos en un joyero; Haga un hermoso  recuerdo con una mano impresa en el yeso de París ó guirnaldas hechas de platos de papel  y pañelos faciales.

Proceso:   Una caja como joyero:  hecha de un cartón de huevos. Si desea el niño puede pintar el cartón y agregar decoraciones tales como: brillo(escarcha). Impresión de la mano: El niño puede mezclar el agua y  yeso y verterlo en un envase plano apropiado que guarde el proceso de impresión. Después de secarse, adorne y agregue la suspensión según lo deseado. Guirnalda o corona: Corte el borde de un plato de papel, el niño tomara pedacitos pequeños de pañuelos faciales o cualquier papel fino, delgado lo arrugará y los pegará en el borde, tambien puede añadir puntos que deja la perforadora, especialmente los rojos, también puede añadir escarcha brillo, según lo deseado.

Destrezas/estilos de aprendizaje/inteligencias:  Control de la motricidad fina,  emocional, corporal, social.

Continuo aprendizaje: El estudiante puede, deacuerdo a su capacidad, escribir su nombre y de quien recibira el regalo. El niño puede tener la oportunidad de hacer un número de regalos. Durante el proceso, hable de los colores, de los métodos usados y con un lenguaje descriptivo anímelo. Hable de los regalos y de los dados en general; regalos especiales que usted ha recibido. Piense en maneras que podemos dar que no implican los regalos materiales. Piense en maneras que podemos continuar dando a través del año.
