Leaf Rubbings

Background
:
In
New Jersey, leaves begin to change color in the Fall.
Leaves come in many varieties: tree leaves, plant leaves,
bush leaves, etc. Like people, they come in many sizes,
colors, shapes, but all share leafness.

Objective: Young
students and families shall enjoy looking for and comparing many
kinds of leaves.
|

Materials
Needed: Paper,
crayons, a collection of leaves.
|
|
Process:
Family
member(s) and young students go for walk around home or in a
park. During the walk, encourage young student to name and
use all five senses. Without disturbing the environment,
locate, examine and collect leaves. Return home with the
treasure. Discuss the various leaves and ways in which
they are alike and different.
For
the rubbing, show young student how to place a leaf on desk or
table surface, place paper on top of it, and then use pencil or
crayon to rub over the paper and watch the shape appear.

appropriate, as well as sensory words such as smell, odor,
taste, touch, listen, hear, look, see.

Historía:
En
Nueva Jersey, las hojas comienzan a cambiar de color en Otoño.
Las hojas vienen en diferentes variedades como en: árboles,
arbustos, plantas, etc., como la gente, ellos vienen en muchas
tallas, colores, formas, pero todos comparten sus cualidades
como las hojas.

Objetivo: Los
niños y familias disfrutaran buscando y comparando diferentes
clases de hojas.
|

Producto:
impresión
de hojas

Materiales que necesita: papel,
crayones y hojas que haya consegido.
|
|
Proceso: Salga
con su niño a caminar a sus alrededores ó a un parque,
mientras caminan anime a su hijo(a) a nombrar y usar los cinco
sentidos, localizando examinando y recogiendo algunas hoja.
Hablar de la variedad de hojas y como unas son diferentes y
otras son parecidas.
Para la impresión de la hoja, muestre al niño como colocar
la hoja en una superficie y luego cubrirla con una hoja de papel
y con un crayon rayarla de forma uniforme hasta que comience a
verse la figura de la hoja que tenemos bajo el papel.

venas, tallos, árbol, arbusto, planta. Añadir palabras
con color tales como los 5 sentidos: olor, sabor, tacto,
oido y vista.

motricidad fina y larga. Estilos y aprendizaje: Naturalistica,
corporal, lógica matematica, visual y corporal.

observando las hojas cada dia y comente con su hijo los cambios.
Visite la libreria y busque un libro en Español o Ingles y
disfruten juntos conociendo acerca de los cambios de estacióon.
