Sunny
Smile
|
Background
:
A
“sunny smile” is used to describe a happy, positive
disposition. We might say to our young students, “You
can have a happy day or a sad day, it is your choice.”
|
|
Objective: This
activity encourages a positive outlook, reinforces the
identification of the shape “round” as well as the color “yellow”,
and develops fine motor control needed for printing.
|
|
Product:
A
sunny face with a big smile that can also be a sunny puppet.
|
|
Materials
Needed: Paper,
either yellow construction paper or paper of any kind that young
student can color yellow with paints or crayons; or a paper
plate, Scissors, Markers or Stickers or Glue for facial features
|
|
Process: Draw
a large circle on the paper. Older children may wish to
draw the circle themselves, perhaps using a plate as a
template. If appropriate, young student colors the paper.
Young
student cuts around the circle. Alternatively, a
paper plate may be used.
Encourage
young student to cut a fringe around the outside of the circle
to suggest sun’s rays, and to add facial features to simulate
the “sunny smile”.
Add
a craft stick or similar object to create a stick puppet.

Sorisas Soleadas
|
Historía:
Una
“sonrisa soleada” es usada para describir una disposicion
feliz y positiva. Nosotros de pronto le diremos a nuestros
jovenes estudiantes. “Tu puedes tener un feliz dia o un dia
triste, es tu escogencia.”

|
Objetivo: Esta
actividad apoya a una perspectiva positiva, refuerza la
identificación de las figures “redondas” como tambien las
de color “Amarillo”, y desarrolla el control motriz fino
necesario para imprimir.
|
|
Producto:
Una
cara soleada con una sonrisa grande puede ser tambien una
marioneta o titere.
|
|
Materiales que necesita: Papel
construcción de color Amarillo o cualquier papel que el joven
estudiante puede colorearlo de Amarillo con pinta o crayones; o
un plato de papel, tijeras, marcaras, o cola para la facciones
de la cara.
|
|
Proceso: Dibuje
un circulo grande sobre el papel. Los niños mas grandes pueden
dibujar el circulo ellos mismos, podrian usar un plato como
ejemplo. Si es apropiado, el joven estudiante puede colorear el
plato.
El
joven estudiante cortara alrededor del circulo o usaran un plato
de papel como alternativa.
Anime
a el joven estudiante a cortar un borde hacia afuera alrededor
del circulo para sugerirles dibujar rayos de sol, y agreguele
rasgos faciales para similar una “Sonrisa Soleada”
Agreguele
un palito de artesanías o un objeto similar para crear una
marioneta con el palito. |
