Background
:
Rubbings
are an art form that intrigues young students. As with other art
activities, this helps imprint an experience for them, a
pre-literacy skill.

Objective: Young
student and family member(s) will have opportunity to enjoy
seeking objects that leave an impression.
|

Product:
Rubbing(s)
of Objects.
|
|
Materials
Needed: Objects
that will leave impressions such as leaves. Paper, Crayons or
Chalk.
|
|
Process: Go
for a walk together, or look around the house for objects.
Show young student how to place a piece of paper over the items;
then using crayon or chalk on its side, rub it over the objects.
