Jungle Fun
|
Background:
The
word jungle refers usually to a dense forest or any wild,
untended or uncultivated land, including forest, scrub, or
desert landscapes, usually with tangled plants, trees, vines,
grasses and reeds. Young students enjoy learning about life
in this setting. Some who visit the jungle call it going on
Safari. Often they carry binoculars with them.

Objective: Young
student and family members will enjoy together learning about
the jungle, its inhabitants (especially birds, animals, and
those that live in water); together they will make pretend
binoculars.

|
Materials
Needed:
Two
paper tubes, glue string |
|
Process:
Young student may paint the paper tubes which will be joined
together by making holes and and using string and/or glue to
hold them together. |
|
Skills/Learning Styles/Intelligences:
Science, math/logical, visual/spatial, interpersonal,
naturalist, socialization. |
|
Extended Learning:
Visit the library, if possible, to look at books about the
jungle; talk about the various inhabitants that live there; if
you have real binoculars, look through them at objects to show
how useful they are for bring objects closer; draw pictures of
jungle inhabitants. Place the pictures around the house or
park and pretend to go on safari. |
|
Character Development:
Following
Rules, Sharing, Taking Turns.
Board games and card games that are designed for the
developmental stage of your young student are an excellent way
for learning these concepts in a fun way.

jungla
|
Historía:
El mundo de la jungla se refiere usualmente a espesos bosques
a algo salvaje, desatendido o tierras no cultivadas,
incluyendo bosques, matorrales, o paisajes deserticos,
usualmente con plantas enredadisas,arboles, enrredaderas,
gramas y cañas. Los jovenes estudiantes disfrutan aprendiendo
acerca de estos temas. Quienes han visitado la jungla le
llaman ir a un safari. Regularmente ellos llevan binoculares. |

Objetivo:
Los jovenes estudiantes y los miembros de sus familias
disfrutaran juntos aprediendo acerca de la jungla, sin
habitantes (especialmente pajaros, animales y aquellos que
viven en el agua); juntos ellos pretenderan hacer unos
binoculos. |

Materiales
que necesita:
Dos tubos de papel, pega & cordon |
|
Proceso: Los
jovenes estudiantes a lo mejor pintaran los tubos de papel los
cuales seran unidos, haciendoles orificios y usando un cordon
o/y pega para que se queden juntos. |

Destrezas/estilos
de aprendizaje/ inteligencias:
Ciencias, matematicas/Logica, Visual/espacial, interpersonal,
naturaleza, socializacion. |

Continuo
aprendizaje:
Visite
la libreria, si es posible, mire libros acerca de la jungla;
hable acerca de varios inhabitantes que vivan alli; si tu
tienes unos binoculos reales, mira atravez de ellos para
demostrar que tan necesarios son para ver objetos mas de cerca;
Has un dibujo de la jungla inhabitable. Coloca los dibujos
alrededor de la casa o el parque y pretende que vas en un
safari. |

Desarrollo
de Caracter:
Las siguientes reglas, Compartir, Tomar Turnos.
Juegos en el tablero o de cartas que sean designados segun la
etapa de desarrollo de cada joven estudiante son una
excellente forma para el aprendizaje de estos conceptos en una
