Bear Headband

                      

Background:    Eight species of bears are  Asiatic Black Bears, American Black Bears, Brown Bears, Giant Panda, Polar Bears, Sloth Bears, Spectacled Bears, and Sun Bears.  http://www.bearden.org/species.html http://www.alphabet-soup.net/dir5/bearheadband.html

Objective :  Young students and families will enjoy learning together about bears, observing that, like people, bears are alike in some ways, and unlike in others.

Materials Needed:  Paper, crayons, paint, or markers, scissors.

Process:    Together, according to ability, young student and family members will draw (on construction paper, a paper plate, or other choice) a bear face. A picture of a bear face may also be cut out and glued to paper.  Young student will color bear according to choice; may be brown, black, black and white (panda), white, etc.  Together, according to ability,cut out the bear face and attach it to a strip of paper long enough to reach around head.  Attach bear face to the strip so young student can wear it around the house and to the preschool, and, if desired, play bear games, and act out bear stories.

Skills/Learning Styles/Intelligences: Social Development, Fine Motor Control, Science, Literacy, Language Development

Extended Learning:   Read and act out stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears; Make bear hats for other members of family and play bear games and act out stories together; Research bears together, perhaps at local library, and discuss ways in which they are alike and different, where they live, what they eat, etc.

Banda para la cabeza de osos

                  

Historía: Las ocho especies de osos son: Oso Asiático Negro, Oso Americano Negro, Oso Café, Panda Gigante, Oso Polar , Oso Perezoso, Oso Espetáculo,  y el Oso Solar. http://www.bearden.org/species.html http://www.alphabet-soup.net/dir5/bearheadband.html

Objetivo:    Los Jovenes estudiantes y sus familias disfrutarán en el aprendizaje acerca de  osos, Observando que, como las personas, los osos son iguales  en muchas formas, y desiguales en otras.

Materiales que necesita:  Papel , crayolas, pinturas o marcadores , tijeras.

Proceso:  Juntos , de acuerdo a sus destrezas, Los jóvenes estudiantes y los miembros de sus familias dibujarán (sobre un papel de construcción, un plato de papel o su preferencia.) Una cara de oso. Un dibujo de la cara de un oso puede ser recortada y pegada sobre el papel.  Los jovenes estudiantes colorearán el oso de acuerdo a su gusto; Puede ser café, Negro, Negro y blanco (panda), etc.. Juntos de acuerdo a sus destrezas, recortar la cara de un oso y pegarla a una tira de papel suficientemente larga que pueda ir alrededor de la cabeza.  Pegar la cara del oso a la tira para que los jovenes estudiantes la usen en la casa y en el prescolar, y si asi lo deciden juguen a juegos de osos, y actuar como en las historias de osos.

Destrezas/estilos de aprendizaje/inteligencias:  Desarrollo Social , Control Motriz Fino, Ciencias, Alfabeto, Desarrollo del Lenguaje.

Continuo aprendizaje: Leer y dramatizar historias tales como:  Risitos de Oro y los tres Little Osos;  Haga un sombrero de oso para otro miembro de la familia y juegue a juegos de osos y dramatizen historias juntos; Investigar acerca de osos juntos, tal vez en las libreria local, y discuta las formas de las cuales ellos son iguales y diferentes, donde viven, que comen, etc.
