The Give Something Back Foundation (GSBF), a nonprofit organization that provides mentors and scholarships to help Pell Grant-eligible kids go to college and graduate in four years without debt, is currently recruiting mentors to help support its 9th grade scholars through high school.
The primary goal of the mentoring program is to help these GSBF scholars develop a positive relationship with an adult who will provide the social and emotional support needed to prepare them for success in college, in addition to overseeing their academic progress.
Upon successful completion of high school, these scholars can apply to one of GSBF’s partner colleges in New Jersey, where they can attend for four years – free of tuition, room and board costs. These partners include: The College of New Jersey, Rowan University, Montclair State University, Saint Peter’s University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and William Paterson University.
Those interested in volunteering as a GSBF mentor are asked to complete the Mentor Application on GSBF’s website and agree to the background check. For questions, please call 609.281.5315 or email email@example.com.
